AN ENDURING LEGACY
Every year on September 11th, it is our honor and privilege to remember the 658 Cantor Fitzgerald and the 61 EuroBrokers employees who died in the attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City. Charity Day is their positive legacy. On Charity Day, the global family of Cantor Fitzgerald companies donates 100% of the day’s revenues to over 150 charities, many of whom you see represented in this book. To date, the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund has given over $336 million to hundreds of worthy causes worldwide.
Charity Day also helps support the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund’s disaster relief program. Building on the lessons learned from caring for the 9/11 families, the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund now provides direct nancial aid to families affected by emergencies and natural disasters. Working directly with impacted school districts, the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund identi es the hardest hit families with young children and gives them $1,000 cash cards to use as they most see t.
We do not only provide money, we also provide hope. The Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund has successfully assisted thousands of people impacted by natural disasters, such as Hurricane Harvey in Houston, Texas, the tornado in Moore, Oklahoma, and Superstorm Sandy in New York. Most recently, spearheaded by our Director of Disaster Relief Efforts Allison Lutnick, 150 dedicated volunteers distributed aid to approximately 4,000 families whose homes were devastated by Hurricanes Irma and Maria in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
It is with your continued support of Charity Day that we can assist those in their greatest time of need. 100% of every dollar donated to the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund in support of our disaster-relief efforts is given as direct nancial aid, with a match from Cantor Fitzgerald.
Thank you again for your support in making Charity Day 2018 a huge success. Helping others is the positive and enduring legacy that those we have lost continue to leave behind.
Sincerely,
Howard W. Lutnick
